1. Seventeen Magazine September 2009

2. The product being sold is the movie Wizards of Waverly Place and the soundtrack. The company is Disney.

3. I think that target audience is 9-18. They are playing on the dreams of kids that want to be magical. Also, there are famous faces in the ad that are in that age range.

4. Love & Belonging

5. Pathos, it is appealing to your creative and childlike dreams. It makes you want to be like them.

6. It has logos and slogans.

7. I think that is effective. It is a fresh and fun way to present a popular show that now has made a movie.

8. If I was an advertiser, I would create a crayon advertisement. The background would be a color by number and they would be 'coloring their world'.

1. Time Magazine, December 2009

2. The product being sold is Plavix, and the company is Bristol-Myers Squibb/Sanofi Pharmaceuticals Partnership.

3. The target audience is adults and/or people who have had heart problems or heart attacks because Plavix is a medication that can help prevent these happenings, and they typically happen in adults.

4. It is trying to appeal to both physical and safety needs.

5. This advertisement tries to most incorporate the ethos proof because the statement on the advertisement is "You'll never forget that day. Plavix can help keep you from going through it again." It gives you a sense of reassurance.

6. It uses the technique of transfer in a way because the picture on the ad shows someone being rushed around in a hospital because of some health issue.

7. Overall, I think it is because it can relate to many people in our country and gives them a sense of safety with the product.

8. I would design an advertisement similar to this one because many people can relate their situations with it and it can help them feel like it can be prevented.

1. Seventeen & November 16, 2009

2. Nike products.

3. I think the target audience is athletes because the company is using a pro-athlete to convince other athletes to buy their product.

4. Physical because the nike products are releasing stress & making athletes more energetic & better.

5. Ethos & pathos because they are using serena williams to show credibility and pathos to appeal to happiness.

6. It uses branding, logos, & slogans.

7. It does a pretty good job, because it uses a higher athlete to try to prove that the nike products make her a better performer, so others should by the products too.

8. I would use a celebrity to attract all people with the power of credibility and popularity. I would also use bright colors and pictures to attract the audience to look at my ad & be interested, with a topic appealing to all people.
