1. I improved on my eye contact and being more social with the audience.

2. I could have memorized the speeches mores because I pretty much wrote my speech out. I could have read through my speech more and practice it.

3. I thought the most interesting speech we did was the bag speech because I got to show our true self.

4. I think the Poetry Out loud unit could be improved because we didn't have much time to practice and to get into what the poem was actually saying.

5. I think all the skills were covered. I think we went over tests and we should have worked more on speeches.

6. Working as a group helped me learn the best because if I didn't understand something then someone else could answer it for me.

7. We could watch speech videos from other people or make more videos on topics.

8. This class was amazing!

1. I really think that I improved my overall speaking skills - looking at the audience, feeling relaxed, and especially using less verbal fillers.

2. I think I could have improved a little more on using gestures throughout my speeches because they help the speech become more connected and interested in listening to the speaker. It could be improved by practicing my speeches in front of a mirror, where I could see what gestures fit my speech.

3. The most interesting/useful units to me was the persuasive unit. It helped me know how to organize a persuasive speech better and how to present my sources.

4. I think the least interesting/useful unit was the listening unit. Although it might have helped some other people, I really don't feel that it helped me. It could be improved by doing more fun activities to go along with listening.

5. I think we covered many useful skills related to communication. The powerpoints for the different units that we had this year were useful for the tests, but I don't think anyone really paid attention to them otherwise. The rest of the focus could be more on speeches and activities to help us "get loose" before doing speeches so everyone is relaxed.

6. The activity that helped me learn the best was the "On my trip I brought..." game. I really had to pay attention to everything to remember, and I think that was very useful and fun at the same time.

7. Instead of doing so many tests, I think more group projects could be incorporated. A technology-based project that I really liked was the Advertisement of a random item.

8. Nope :)

2. I could have improved on just being more conversational. It would have made the speeches way more smooth sounding.

4. I think that the informative speech was the least useful because we can all just go to the internet and find out whatever we want.
5. I think that we should focus on more speeches because the power points can get kind of boring and kids don't pay attention.
6. The one minute speeches helped a lot. You had to come up with stuff on the spot and make it sound somewhat realistic.

1. At the beginning of the semester I could speak in front of a group of people just fine. But as the semester went on I learned certain qualities that have improved my speech in front of larger groups of people. Some of these qualities are: good eye contact, fluent voice, clear voice, and gestures that I can now use to speak to people.
2. I could definitely improve on being more conversational with my audience instead of just talking at them.
3. Informative lessons were fun for me because I found new ways of researching as well as learning about a lot of different topics.
4. The least appealing to me was persuasive because we have dealt with persuasive lessons a lot throughout the school years.
5. I cannot think of anymore skills on communication that we could have covered. We did good son.
6. I learned quite a bit from other students speeches and I learned nothing from the notes.
7. Look at peoples speeches online maybe.
8. Speech can get boring at times... play for improv games to jazz it up a little.

1. I would say i didn't improve any skill. They all stayed the same.

2. I need to talk slower. I go too fast for people to understand and think. I could give more pauses.

3. Bag speech is the most intresting. It tells about the poepl around your school.

4. Perssive speeches did not help at all. They are not something that people will do. You should just tell them about what is a persuasive speech to help them understand why there are commercials and things along that nature.

5. No, there are not more things we should have covered. We should have done more improv speeches as they are the ones you will most likely have to do.

6. None helped me learn at all they just did not affect me and my speaking ability any.

7. Yes, you could take the class and somehow set up a time where you can have 1 on 1 chats across the internet as we are talking to who knows who over the internet everyday.

8. No comment more comments are needed after this one.

1. I think I improved on being more confident in speaking in front of an audience. I'm not as nervous as I was during the first speech.
2. I think I could have improved on rehearsing the speeches so I was more prepared and had more eye-contact. It could have made me more confident about the material I was giving a speech on.
3. I believe that the special occasion speeches are very useful because they teach us how to say the good things about others and how to make things short and sweet.
4. I think the demostration speech was the least interesting. I think it was just a boring speech we did to take up more class time. I believe if it was a group learning a new trait and teaching the class in a demonstration speech it would be a lot more interesting.
5. I think we covered most everything. I think there needs to be more days were impromptu speeches are the only thing they do. Those speeches help build confidence in front of people.
6. Impromptu speeches and activities helped me learned the best. Some of the larger speeches with research were good because they helped with citing sources.
7. More researching speeches, watching speeches others have given, and taking notes.
