I think I most improved on my poster, eye contact, and delivery because through out all of these speeches I learned to connect with the audience and actually talk to them while delivering a speech. I think I could have improved on attention getters and transitions even more because I thought mine weren't very catchy at times. The most interesting unit for me was the public speaking unit because I think it is important to be a good public speaker. I don't really think there was one that was least useful but the least interesting one to me was the interpersonal communication because it wasn't very fun for me to learn about how to talk to people or communicate with them. There are no other concepts that I wish we would've covered. The best instructional strategies for me were where we got to actually do something that had to do with what we were learning other than just the powerpoint notes. The podcast that we did on inter cultural communication is an example of one that helped me learn a lot and was fun too.

From the bag speech to the persuasive speech I think that i have improved mostly on becoming more comfortable in front of a large group and eye contact. I believe that I overcame these challenges by practicing in front of my family member and looking in a mirror several times. The most interesting unit that we did I thought was persuasive or informative. I found this most interesting because I chose a topic that I enjoyed. My least favorite unit that we did was when we had to say a speak about the types of communication that we use. I found this unit not every fun because I wasn't fawned of the topic. I think that I should have added some more passion to the topic that I chose.

I think I have improved most on my eye contact and my delivery. I think this because I'm more comfortable giving speeches now. I think I could have worked on using fewer notes for my speeches because I always had to use my notes a lot. I think the informative was the most useful for me because it helped me in other classes with giving and writing informative essays and speeches. I found the partner speech the least useful and interesting, I think it could be improved by being able to choose who your partner is. I think most skills were covered in this class. I think the powerpoints were very helpful, and I think having them only partially filled out helped also.

Well just over all I got more confidence to talk to a group about something and to not be so monotone when I speak.I still need to get better at I contact and thats a big thing I need to do. The most interesting unit I thought was the group speech. I liked it because I got to work with other people on the speech. I thought all the units weren't bad I just didn't like getting to have to make the speech and saying it. All the topics of communication I think are covered fine. I liked the showing of how the speech should go to see before we started it. They all worked for me.

Well I think I improved on my eye contact and poster and delivery because I learned how to connect with my audience and get over stage fright. Even though I thought I had good eye contact at the end but I think I could improve even more because I like to just read what I have down on my sheet instead of interacting with the audience. The unit I liked the most was public speaking because we need to be a good public speaker. I really don't think we could have covered anymore. I liked the stuff we did on the power points.

I think I mostly improved on standing still, talking clear, and eye contact. We had so many different speech to do, so that would help you to improve. I could improve on explaining more. Because i would always explain short. I think the most useful was the public speaking. Because everywhere you would have to talk in public and i always talk in public. The one i think is least useful was the persuasive speech. I would need to explain more information. No. The outline worked for me. I don't know what didn't work for me.

I think I have improved on my eye contact, the delivery, and more comfortable with speaking in front of a group of people, because from the very first speech to the last one i have learned how to connect with audience better. I think I can still improve on being comfortable with talking in front of a group. I think the most interesting unit was the public speaking unit because learning how to be comfortable talking front of people. There really wasn't one that wasn't useful but I thought that the interpersonal communication, it wasn't was as fun for me, I thought it was pretty boring for the most part! There aren't any other concepts that i wish would have covered. The best instructional strategies for me was when we actually got to physically do something with what we were learning in stead of just taking notes on a powerpoint. The podcasts that we did on inter cultural communication was a fun activity to do, and it also helped me learn a lot to. I think when teachers make learning fun it is sometimes easier to learn.

I think that I have learned to slow down when I give a speech. I think that I could improve on eye contact more. The informative, because I got to talk about Softball. It doesn't matter to me. I probably won't use them again, if I do, it will be in STAR for FCCLA.

I think I improved on making my outlines. I think I could have improved on speaking slower and clearer. The most useful to me was the Demonstration Speech, because it seemed like the easiest speech to do. The speech that I disliked the most was the bag speech, just because it was my first speech and I was still really nervous to speak in front of people. There are not any concepts/skills that I wish we would have covered, that I can think of.

I think that I improved on eye contact, expanding my time, and projecting my voice. I learned how to do these things from the class. I think that I could improve on my delivery from my speech to the audience and telling them more details. I think that the public speaking was useful to me because you can be more comfortable while talking in front of an audience. I found that the persuasive topic was the least useful for me because I just chose a topic and wrote on it . I don't think that there was many things that we would have covered that were important if we would have done more. I think that the personal skills was one that worked for me. The persuasive speech did not work for me.

I think that i improves on my delivery, and trying not to be so nervous. I did this by practicing. Eye contact. because my eye contact sucked like majorily bad. For me i didn't like doing the persuasive unit an i don't really like the methods that go along with it. I don't know of any other concepts that we didn't cover. I don't know which one worked better for me because i didn't really like anything.

I think i improved on my confidence by just a little but that's just because it's a little easier when you have a pathetic audience.eye contact. because i usually have eye contact with people another time or i just don't care. The bag speech, because it explained how i am a little more. i hated the interpersonal speech, because it was just kind of blah.well i think it would have been better if we weren't talking about ourselves.

eye contact and delivery because through out all of these speeches I learned to connect with the audience and actually talk to them while delivering a speech and i also believe i did a good job on making it conversational. I think I could have improved on attention getters and transitions even more because I thought mine weren't really all that good. The most interesting unit for me was informaitve one, because i thought i did the best on that one all around. The least interesting one to me was the interpersonal communication because it wasn't very fun for me to learn about how to talk to people or communicate with them. I can't think of anything we could have covered that we didn't. The best instructional strategies for me were when we got to learn using anything other than the powerpoints. The podcast that we did on inter cultural communication is one that was fun and helped me learn in a different way.

I think i have improved on everything, bye practicing, learning, and performing. I could improve on my talking skills and my fluency by practicing more. The most interesting was the persuasive because most people did not pay attention to them. It could be improved by going more in depth. No. I liked the diagrams because they helped my learning abilities.

From the Bag Speech to the Persuasive Speech, what skills do you think you most improved on in the public speaking process? How?
-i felt like i could project my voice more.
What skills do you think you could've improved on even more? Why? doing a speech infront of people i know adn will see agian. i think its harder for me to talk infront of a crowd of people i know and have known for a while.
Of the units we did, what was the most interesting/useful to you? Why?
-i felt everything was valuble information. if i've heard it already then it was a huge reminder and made it sink in even more.
Of the units we did, what one did you find the least useful or interesting? Why?
-i dont really have an opinion on least useful things. everything that is told to us is useful even if it may be obvious to most of us.
Are there concepts/skills related to communication that you wish we would've covered?
-communication, like you said, comes in many forms. one of the things i think we should do a unit on is phone edaquit.
In regards to the instructional strategies used by the teacher, which ones worked for you? Which ones didn't work? Why?
- i think they were all good, i dont recall anything that didnt work for me.
If you have any other comments or suggestions, feel free to share them.
-i feel that if you do a year of FCCLA's STAR you shouldn't have to do speech. you do a speech practice it and have to present it to a small group of people (some in which you may not know) or if your doing speech for that matter!
