I think public speaking as a positive. Some experiences i have with public speaking is Mock Trial, which required me to have an opening speech before the trials. My goals would be to get better, and i'm hoping i wont be as nervous as i usually am. I'm think i learn better if i see examples.
I view public speaking in a positive way because it will help you in future references. I haven't really had a lot of public speaking, but when I was in FCCLA I spoke in front of a room of people. My goals are to know how to give a speech in front of a lot of people. I want to be able to give a decent speech as the semester progresses and if I see examples is a way that i'll be able to learn better.
positive way, because it can help people discuss things. i have almost no experience with public speaking. i want to pass this class. i do not know what skills or concept i want help with. im not sure what activities/strategies help me to learn best.
Positive, it is a good way to learn how to talk to people. Speaking at my church and over the radio. None. To listen and do things.

I like to be a very open and seen person, i have done some theatre work and one acts (although i havent gotten a part in one acts yet). i would like to work on not stumbling through words and pausing when i speak. Im fairly open to most teaching styles.

I view it in a positive way because it makes you more charismatic. The last experience i can remember with public speaking is in Mrs. Pongratz's class in 8th grade. My goal in this class is to recieve an A. I would like help with my ability to speak confidently in front of people. Interactive activities help me learn best.

I view public speaking as a positive in every way. You need to have speaking skills to get your way through life. Speaking is major in the world, If you don't know how to speak or get through to people you aren't going to make it far and most likely be shy for the rest of your life. I have had many public speaking experiences with getting awards and being in this class for the second time! hahahahahahaha.
And Of course i am in regular speach to top it off. My goals for this class are to not be as shy and open up with my speaches and get more into them. I would like to be able to read clearly without hesitating. Practice Practice Practice Would definently help me out :) hahahahahahaha~

I say a positive way for many things, but as for me I view public speaking in a negative way. I get nervous and shaky and i just don't like talking in front of a bunch of people. I have given speeches before, but otherwise I really don't have any experience. I really want to learn how to talk in front of people and I want to gain more confidence when talking in front of people. I want help in learning how to make my speeches flow and I want help in learning how to build confidence in front of people. Strategies that help me learn best would be like watching others and just seeing what they do.
I view public speaking at a neutral, not bad for me or of great help. Speaking at church retreats. My goal is to pass. Be able to give a speech with out even thinking about it. Demonstration helps me learn best.

I think public speaking is a positive thing. It teaches people to stand up for what they believe and fight for it. In the past I have given a handful of speeches through FCCLA. This year is my forth year competing in STAR, a program though FCCLA. I also have competed in History Day for two years writing and performing a play. Along with those I have given your typical speeches that you are required to give in other classes. My goals are just to become more comfortable about discussing any topic. I hope to get help on improving this skill. I enjoy doing hands on things (not necessarily in a group).
i view public speaking in a positive way but if it is agent someone i view it as negative.i hope to pass this class. i wont to give a good speech.

I think that public speaking is a positive thing, but I view it in a negative way because it makes me nervous. I haven't had a lot of experience in public speaking except for giving presentations in other classes. My goal is to become less nervous in front of other people and gain more confidence. I want help with standing up in front of a classroom of people and not getting too nervous to speak. I learn the best by listening to a teacher talk and that kind of thing.
I believe that public speaking is positive. I have talked in front of my family and that is about it. My goals for this speech year is to learn how to speak to in front of people without any fear. If I see example i will learn better

i think that i will never use public speaking... i plan to be a cosmeotoligist (hair colorer, styler, cutter, all hair junk)i have used public speaking before during 4-H over the food pyramid. My goal is to not fail this class and i am hoping to at least get a C. i think i am not good at learning period.

When I think about public speaking I view it in a positive and a negative way. I view it positive because it gives you the opportunity to freely speak how you feel. I view it negatively because I sometimes get nervous in front of large crowds. My goals are to gain knowledge and courage from this class. I have had a lot of experiences speaking in front of crowds, with FCCLA and STAR. I hope to gain strength to stand in front of large crowds and be able to finish a speech without being afraid.
I view public speaking in a positive way because it helps with peoples self confidence and also is a quick way to spread information. I don't have much experience with public speaking. I hope to gain experience and confidence speaking. i think practicing and visual examples help me learn better.
depending on what the person is talking about, i think that public speaking can be taken positively or negatively. i have had zero experience with public speaking. i want to pass the class. i want to be able to use good eye contact and make time on all speeches.i learn the best by reading it over a period of time.
